Welcome ..

My name is Mark Schaefer and I'd like to share my story with you. In October of 2014, three weeks after I passed my Certified Personal Trainer test, I was diagnosed with HPV-Related Throat cancer. As with any diagnosis of that degree, it was like being struck in the head with a 2x4. And, when I asked the doctor to repeat himself, out came the 2x4 again. Needless to say, one's "to do" list becomes a "must get done" list.

I am now finished with treatment, well into recovery, and the prognosis looks good. While much of my time during treatment was spent in managing pain, this 4-month interval gave me a chance to pause & reflect. This website is a result of those 'Reflections'.

I have often been accused -and rightly so- of having too many 'irons in the fire' and being distracted by just about any 'shiny object' that crossed my path. Being an impulsive buyer, I can not tell you how many wallets, briefcases, PDA's and gadgets that have pass through my hands [only to be sold in the annual 'garage sales' for pennies on the dollar] over the years. One [of many] things that my "diagnosis" taught me was the need to de-clutter my life -not only of material items, but non-material ones, too. It also gave me time to sort through the various stacks of "To Do [One of These Days]" items -specifically those items that needed to be filed in their proper folders, and to the envy of many, 25+ years of photographs. More importantly, it has led to the two [2] items on this site -my personal fitness 'restoration' compounded with my training 'philosophy'; and, my thouhts how to develop a marketing business through specifically with Essential Services for the Home or Business through ACN.

Additionally, you will find some personal 'Reflections' posted. These include some random thoughts that I took the time think through a bit longer than usual and choose to explore in some depth. I hope these efforts will be helpful to you.
